PST Block Party Meet - September 27-28, 2025:

We will be hosting our second Block Party of the season–PST IM Ready Block Party Meet–on September 27-28, 2025 at Mills College. This will be a fun and unique meet designed for swimmers to compete in a series of five, IM Ready (IMR) events.

The IMR/IMX series is a USA Swimming program designed to help various age groups compete in multiple events.  It allows USA Swimming members to track their times (or coaches to track their team’s times) against swimmers all across the nation.  The first step in the USA Swimming IMX Challenge is IM Ready (or IMR). To get "IM Ready," swimmers compete in a series of five events at shorter distances:

  • 9 & Under; 10-year olds: 100 Free, 50 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Fly, 100 IM (SC) or 200 IM (LC)
  • 11-year olds; 12-year olds: 200 Free, 50 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Fly, 100 IM (SC) or 200 IM (LC)
  • 13 & up: 200 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Fly, 200 IM
  • Once you've swum each event at least once at an official meet, you can log in to your USA Swimming Account, and find out where you rank against all the other swimmers on your club team.

Meet Registration will open Today (Sunday, 9/14)  and will close on Wednesday 9/24. Sign ups will be through FastSwims.  All PST Swimmers from Green, Blue, Bronze, Silver, Gold, YRHS and Platinum are highly encouraged to attend this meet!

Volunteer job signs-ups will open on Monday 9/22, and close on Wednesday 9/24.

Fee: $80 flat fee per participant (includes splash, facility and event fees; covers both days)

Please reach out with any help with costs.  We want all swimmers to participate.

Competition will start at 9:30 a.m.

Warm-up times are as follow:

  • Platinum and YRHS: 7:45 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
  • Gold and Silver: 8:20 a.m. - 8:50 a.m.
  • Green and Bronze: 8:45 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.

See the Meet Sheet for further details.

Parents, please remember that signing up for a volunteer shift is an expectation. If your swimmer participates in a meet, you also have a responsibility to help out.

We are thrilled to see our athletes compete and look forward to a great meet!

Good Neighbors- Parking Reminders

It goes without saying that we rely on positive relationships with the different communities whose pools we use for practices.

It is a shared responsibility to maintain these relationships, and we need parents to follow the parking requirements for each facility.

Please refer to specific instructions for each pool location below, along with screenshots indicating unavailable parking/access in red, and available parking in green.

Thank you for your adhering to these requirements.

Mills at Northeastern:

Per our agreement with Mills at Northeastern University, PST families are not to use the staff/student parking lot and drop-off and pick-up lanes in front of the pool AT ALL. The parking lot and driveway must be accessible to staff and students at all times.

You may park, drop off, and pick up along the street or in the front parking lot; turn right immediately after the security gate.

ECCL:

Please only park in designated parking spaces. Do not stop or park in red zones or any other place that is not a designated parking spot. Do not double park.

If spots near the pool are unavailable, there is plenty of parking on San Pablo Ave. and Doyle St. in the evenings.

Please review the below screenshots for parking on San Pablo Ave & Doyle St. All areas with the red lines are red zones/no parking zones. The green box is a drop off/pick up zone, which should be used as such and not for parking.

This Week’s Top Tip:

It is beneficial if your swimmer gets to practice 5-10 minutes early whenever possible. For coaches, it helps to connect with our swimmers, start mobility routines, and assign lanes for a productive session. Every time swimmers show up a little late, even just 2 minutes, our focus is taken from the session, lanes might have to be re-assigned, and most importantly, your athlete will miss out on talking and connecting with us and might miss crucial pre-practice information that we are delivering to our groups. In other words, be 5-10 minutes early for every session, no matter your group, to get the most out of our coaching staff and practices. Thank you!
