Leaving PST
2026/27 Swim Season
For most PST members (see below for exceptions), we are unable to refund or credit any dues. PST is a full year commitment as far as finances go. Every year during the registration process, parent(s) are asked to ‘check’ that you have read and agreed to our RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY; FINANCIAL AGREEMENT, of which the relevant portion states:
“Regardless of the dues payment option selected, participants/guardians are obligated to pay the full annual dues. Voluntary or involuntary withdrawal from Piedmont Swim Team during the swim year will not dismiss participant’s obligation to pay the full annual dues in the amount of time selected. There are no refunds of any amounts.”
If your swimmer is considering leaving PST before the end of the season, please discuss this choice with your swimmer's coach. Once you decide that leaving the team is the right choice for your swimmer, please let us know by completing this form. If you choose to keep your account active in the system, your swimmer can continue to participate in all team activities as much or little as they prefer through the end of the swim season (end of July). You will also need to meet general work hours requirements. If you prefer to inactivate your account, please let us know when you complete the Departing Swimmer Request Form. Once your account is current (i.e. all financial obligations have been met), we will inactivate your swimmer, any unworked hours will be waived and you will no longer receive any PST related news. The option to inactivate your account early and have service hours waived is available before May 18. After that point, you will be expected to complete or pay for unworked service hours.

Medical Leave of Absence
Under the discretion of PST’s Head Coach, a swimmer may be placed on a medical leave of absence when the swimmer has a long-term medical condition (lasting at least 6 months) that precludes the swimmer from attending practice and competitions. Swimmers who are unable to attend practices for any other reason (ex. change in practice schedule, short-term injury or illness, vacations, jobs, or other scheduling conflicts) are not eligible for a leave of absence. Minimum service hour requirement will be placed on hold during a swimmer’s medical leave of absence.
2026/27 Season - Green and New Blue Swimmers:
Green group families: Green swimmers may choose not to return at the end of each term. The three terms this season run from August 31 - November 20 (12 wks), March 1 - May 30 (13 wks) and June 1 - July 18 (7 wks).
- If your swimmer does not plan to return for the term starting on March 1, please let us know no later than February 7, 2027 by completing this form.
- If your swimmer does not plan to return for the term starting on June 1, please let us know no later than May 16, 2027 by completing this form.
If we do not hear from you by these dates, your family will be committed financially for the full length of the upcoming term.
New Blue group families: If you have a swimmer in the Blue group who was new to PST in August 2026, please be aware that your swimmer’s trial period ends on February 28, 2027. If your swimmer does not plan to continue on PST, please let us know no later than February 7, 2027 by completing this form. If we do not hear from you by February 7, your family will be committed financially until the end of the 2026/27 swim season (July 31st, 2027).
