PST News 10/12/25

This Week:

Monday, 10/6: C/B/BB+ Meet (host: AAA). Meet is scheduled to open for registration on FastSwims on Monday, October 6th, at 7am, and it might fill up within minutes. Be ready to sign up as soon as it opens! All swimmers from Green through Platinum to attend on both days! Titanium swimmers without Senior 2 times need to attend as well.

Fri, 10/17/25: Titanium AM practice is canceled. 

• Titanium Girls to swim with the boys from 5-6:30pm at MSC

Sat & Sun, 10/18-19: Senior Open (host: OAPB). Meet is closed. 28 PST swimmers are registered to compete.

Meet Jobs will open Monday, October 13 at 8PM and close Wednesday evening.
Warm-up Times Swimmers need to be ready to warm-up by 7:45am.

Sat & Sun, 10/18-19: C/B/BB+ Meet (host: CDST). Meet has closed. 122 PST swimmers are registered to compete.

Meet Jobs will open Monday, October 13 at 8PM and close Wednesday evening.

Warm-up Times

• Green & Blue: 8:15am arrival for 8:30am Warm-Up
• Bronze, Silver, & Gold: 7:45am arrival for 8:00am Warm-Up
• Platinum, YRHS, & Titanium: 7:15am arrival for 7:30am Warm-Up

Swimmers must arrive on time for their warm-up, as our coaching staff is busy with other groups before and after, making it nearly impossible to support swimmers who arrive late.

Mon, 10/20/25: Morning practices at Mills are canceled. Staff and swimmers will need to sleep in after the meet.

Congratulations - Asher Takazawa

We are incredibly proud to announce that our Junior Team Captain, Asher Takazawa, has been awarded the prestigious ‘Athlete Representative of the Year’ Award by Pacific Swimming. 

Asher has earned this award by actively and thoughtfully contributing at Pacific Swimming meetings, camps, and gatherings, helping our region grow while keeping athletes front and center. He was nominated by his peers from the Athlete Representative Committee across Pacific Swimming and the Pacific Swimming Adult Leadership team. 

Congratulations, Asher. We are incredibly proud of having you represent PST at the regional level.

Thank you for your Food Drive contributions! It was a huge success, and PST was one of the biggest contributors. In total, Pacific Swimming donated 1,765 pounds of food. 

Connor Carnazzo was recognized as a Pacific Swimming record holder in his mixed medley relay at Western Zone Age Group Champs - Congratulations, Connor! 

Sydney Rose will join the PST athlete representatives to PacSwim this season.

These funds will support the success of our team through training equipment for the swimmers, travel meet support, operational costs including pool rentals, and coach’s education. All of our Coaches have days off, and during those days, they will not check their work messages. We aim to respond to emails within 48 hours; however, please be patient if we don’t.

Two helpful tools for parents and swimmers:

• Add your phone number and carrier into your account for urgent text notifications such as last minute practice updates and cancellations
• Get our mobile app (SportsEngine Motion) via the AppStore or Google Play to easily keep track of your account, your swimmer’s times, attendance and more.

Safe Sport: Required training

Reminder that all families (one parent/guardian and all 13 and older swimmers) must complete their Safe Sport training each season. This training will help you and your swimmer understand the importance of a safe and positive team culture. This also helps PST to retain our Safe Sport designation.

Make sure your swimmer is connected to your USA Swimming account. This will ensure you get credit for completing the adult and/or athlete training. Parents add their athlete to their account by clicking on the + icon. You need your athlete’s membership ID#. 

• To complete your training online via USAswimming.org:
• After logging into your USA Swimming Account, click on “Education” in the top right
• For parents, click on the “Parents/Volunteers” button at the top, then choose SSRP, and then “Parents Guide to Misconduct in Sport”
• For athletes: click on the “Safe Sport” button at the top and choose the appropriate course “Safe Sport for Youth Athletes (13-17)” or “Safe Sport Training for Adult Athletes” for swimmers 18 and older
