PST News: 10/26/25

This Week:

Fri - Mon, 11/7-10: The following practices are cancelled due to the Senior 2 and C/B/BB Meets:

• Fri, 11/7: Titanium AM & PM
• Sat & Sun: Every PST practice 
• Mon, 11/10: Morning practices at Mills / Titanium Boys to swim with Girls at MSC from 5-6:30pm

Sat & Sun, 11/8-9: C/B/BB+ Meet (host: AAA). Meet has closed. 130 PST swimmers were able to register. 

Meet Jobs will open on Monday, November 3 at 8PM and will close Wednesday night. With so many swimmers attending, we will have many jobs to fill. If your swimmer is attending, please plan to sign up for a job.

Arrival and Warm-Up Times

• Green & Blue: 8:15am arrival for 8:30am Warm-Up
• Bronze, Silver, & Gold: 7:45am arrival for 8:00am Warm-Up
• Platinum, YRHS, & Titanium: 7:15am arrival for 7:30am Warm-Up

Swimmers must arrive on time for their warm-up, as our coaching staff is busy with other groups before and after, making it nearly impossible to support swimmers who arrive late.

Fri - Sun, 11/7-9: Senior 2 Prelims and Finals Meet (host: PLS). Meet has closed. 21 PST swimmers are registered to compete.

Meet Jobs will open on Monday, November 3 at 8PM and will close Wednesday night. 

Warm-Up Times

• Friday: 3:30pm - don’t be late as the meet will start at 4:30pm
• Saturday and Sunday: Starting at 7:30 a.m., each swimmer may have slightly different needs and will begin their warm-ups at a time agreed upon with Coach Stefan.

CAL Swimming Meet and Greet

Bronze Swimmer: How do I become a great swimmer?

Cal Student Athletes offered the following advice: 1) always look for opportunities to race, even if it's just racing against each other at practice; 2) do more than what's being asked of you by your coaches. Take the initiative to go above and beyond; 3) set a goal and work towards it. Nothing is too ambitious or too big! 4) Have Fun!

Officials Needed!

Here are the top three perks to becoming an official:

1. Receive a dues credit (once you are an official official)
2. Learn all of the nuances of each stroke
3. Preferential parking at (some) swim meets

As a parent of a swimmer, you have the opportunity to be involved with your child and their sport in various ways. One very instrumental way is by being trained, certified, and working as an Official.  Officials are present at all competitions to implement the technical rules of swimming and to ensure that the competition is fair and equitable to everyone. Sanctioned swim meets cannot run without Officials!  As an Official, you gain a more thorough understanding of swimming strokes, fulfill your PST volunteer requirements, receive a dues credit, become more engaged with the sport, enjoy great hospitality, and even get preferred parking at many venues.

1:1 Virtual Meetings with Head Coaches:

If you'd like to have a 1:1 conversation with any of our head coaches, click on their names below to schedule a virtual meeting.

Questions about team policies, team calendar, raising general concerns, senior groups (Platinum, YRHS, Titanium) related questions, your swimmers’ progress, goal setting with your swimmer, and anything else.

Questions about Gold and Silver groups, your swimmers' progress, goal setting with your swimmer, etc.

Head Developmental Coach: Coach Adrien

Questions about the Green, Blue, and Bronze groups, your swimmers' progress, goal setting with your swimmer, etc.

Our Days Off:

All of our Coaches have days off, and during those days, they will not check their work messages. We aim to respond to emails within 48 hours; however, please be patient if we don’t.
