Message from the Board: Piranha Party: A COMMUNITY EVENT

As our annual fundraising event approaches, the Board of Directors would like to thank our membership for your incredible support. We are especially grateful to our family sponsors, our generous auction donors, and our business sponsors who make this possible. 

Why We Fundraise: We strive to keep PST one of the most affordable competitive swimming programs in the area. To achieve this, PST hosts one fundraiser per season, alternating between Swim-a-Thons and community-based fundraising parties. Our fundraisers directly support:

Affordability: Keeping annual dues as low as possible

Advanced Training Opportunities: Funding programs like our recently added SwimStrong Dryland partnership

Growth: Supporting coach education, equipment upgrades, and travel meet funds

Event Details: The Piranha Party is designed to be an afternoon of fun for the whole family—parents, swimmers, siblings, and friends are all welcome!

When: Sunday, March 1st @ 4:30 PM

Where: Veterans Memorial Building, Piedmont

*Discounted tickets are available for children age 8 and under.

PST Block Party Meet: February 7-8

We will be hosting our third Block Party of the season–PST Distance Block Party Meet–on February 7-8, 2026, at Mills College.  This will be a fun meet with distance and sprint events, with relays and awards ceremony on Sunday.  

Meet Registration is now open and will close on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.  Sign ups will be through the PST Website.  Everyone is expected to attend both days.

Volunteer Job Sign-Ups will open on Monday, February 2, 2026, and close on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

Fee

$75 flat fee per participant (covers both days), invoiced directly to PST accounts.

All participants will receive a special Block Party swim cap.

Please reach out with any help with costs.  We want all swimmers to participate.

Competition will start at 9:30 a.m.  Warm-up times will be announced later.

Parents, please remember that signing up for a volunteer shift is an expectation. If your swimmer participates in a meet, you also have a responsibility to help out. 

We are thrilled to see our athletes compete and look forward to a great meet!

For Green and New Blue Swimmers:

The deadline to withdraw from PST is February 9th by completing our Google form. Please see our leave policy for more details.

If we do not hear from you by that date, your family will be financially committed for the full length of the upcoming term, per our policy.

1:1 Virtual Meetings with Head Coaches:

If you'd like to have a 1:1 conversation with any of our head coaches, click on their names below to schedule a virtual meeting.

Questions about team policies, team calendar, raising general concerns, senior groups (Platinum, YRHS, Titanium) related questions, your swimmers’ progress, goal setting with your swimmer, and anything else.

Head Age Group Coach: Coach Colby

Questions about Gold and Silver groups, your swimmers' progress, goal setting with your swimmer, etc.

Head Developmental Coach: Coach Adrien

Questions about the Green, Blue, and Bronze groups, your swimmers' progress, goal setting with your swimmer, etc.

Our Days Off:

All of our Coaches have days off, and during those days, they will not check their work messages. We aim to respond to emails within 48 hours; however, please be patient if we don’t.

20 PST swimmers will represent PST in Clovis.

PST-hosted Zone 2 meet at Mills.  Green through Platinum to attend.  Details pending.

Marketplace: Block Party Swap!

At the Block Party Meet on 2/7 and 2/8, we will be hosting an in-person Marketplace Swap. Bring outgrown team swag, PST gear and training equipment. 

RULES:

• All equipment must be donated FREE of charge. No money will be exchanged!
• Parents or swimmers must manage their own items if looking to trade. 
• Place all donated items in the Marketplace Swap area anytime during the meet. 
• Unclaimed items will be donated, no returns.
