Sun, 11/10:	Green/Blue Sunday Funday Mock Meet at ECCL 10:15am-12pm. Please see Meet Sheet for more info. The meet is open on FastSwims and will close today, Sunday, Nov Nov 3. Jobs sign up will open Mon, Nov 4th at 8pm.
Sun, 11/10:	Bronze to swim at Mills from 8:30-10am. Bronze will swim at Mills due to the Green/Blue Mock meet.
Sun, 11/10:	Platinum to swim with Titanium at ECCL from 12-1:30pm. Titanium Strength and Conditioning session is canceled. We have to make practice adjustments as we are short on staff.

Next Week:
Mon, 11/11:	Veterans Day. All practices are canceled.
Sat, 11/16:	Platinum to swim with Titanium at ECCL from 12-1:30pm. We are combining practices due to the last chance meet.
Fri - Sun, 11/15-17:	Zone 2 Last Chance Meet. Meet has closed. 40 PST swimmers are registered to compete.
11/23-24:	Swim-a-Thon Kick Off

Important Dates, Cancellations, and Practice Updates:
Thanksgiving Week 11/25-12/1	Week of Thanksgiving. PST will have practice on Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday as normal. Monday morning practice for Platinum and Titanium will be from 8-10am at Mills. Practices are canceled Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Exception: Sectional, Senior 2, and AGC Qualifiers from Titanium and Platinum WILL have practices on Wednesday morning from 8-10 am at Mills. Additionally, Titanium WILL also have practice on Tuesday morning from 8-10am at Mills.
12/17	Zachary’s Pizza Party. Fundraiser and fun holiday team dinner - details to come.
12/16-1/1:	PST on Winter Break. All practices are canceled.
12/27-1/4:	Winter Training Camp.
1/6/25:	PST New Year’s Party. Details coming soon!

SafeSport:

If you weren’t able to attend the in-person Safe Sport training, there are two ways you can get your required training done. Reminder that PST requires one parent/guardian from each family, and all athletes 13 and older to complete the training each season:

What job should I sign up for at meets?

If you want to see great swimming, timing chairs are close to the action (officials are even closer, see below)!
If you need more flexibility during the meet, bringing or returning equipment is easy. To bring equipment, you can pick up equipment from storage at your convenience (but know that it will need to be at the meet by a designated time); to return equipment, you will need to pick it up at the end of the last day of the meet (but you can return it to storage at your convenience).
To have a great reason to get reacquainted with other parents and not actually do anything, sign up for the volunteer coordinator job - you just need to make sure others are doing their job!
***If you want the undying gratitude of the Team and PacSwim, please become an official. It is a critical function for our team and the sport - swimmers cannot compete without officials!! You DO NOT NEED SWIM experience but you’ll gain a fascinating perspective on what our swimmers are doing!***

Important - Parking, drop-off, and pick-up at MSC:

PARKING at Montclair Swim Club: Do not park in the STAFF ONLY spaces. These 3 spaces between the entrance and the bike rack are only for Staff and Repair & Maintenance.

PLEASE park along Thornhill Drive only and walk your child into the pool area.

PLEASE refrain from stopping in the street on Woodhaven Way or near the Staff only parking area - even for drop-offs or pick-ups.

Reno - Preparing for our summer 2025 travel meet

We wanted to share early details about the 2025 summer Reno swim meet. Key things to note is the new indoor pool facility, so no 100° plus heat! For new PST swimmers and parents / guardians, the Reno meet is our travel meet of the year which is a blast!

Book a hotel from June 19 to June 22 (you can always cancel if you end up not going)
Block your calendar now for the Reno Swim Meet, June 20, 2025 – June 22, 2025
Decide which social events to RSVP for (social calendars to follow)
When available, register your child for the meet (pending registration open)
Go have fun

Facility

The meet is at a new, indoor pool location. The pool does have bleachers, but they can fill up fast, so you may want to bring some additional chairs.

Accommodations

After a bit of research the Peppermill seems to have a good combination of things to do, proximity to the event, and general cleanliness. Of course you are free to stay where you would like. The bulk rate was not significantly cheaper, so our suggestion would be to book now and cancel if you end up not attending.

Equipment Fund and Service Hour Opportunity

The team needs shared equipment for this season. The money will be used to buy mirrors for the bottom of the pool - this allows the swimmers to see their strokes as they swim. It will also go towards our canopy replacement fund. Please support this effort and get service hours for your donation!

One service hour will be given for each $50 donation. There is a maximum of four service hours per person. This opportunity is LIVE on the website! Click HERE to donate!
