Coaches and Directors
Stefan joined Piedmont Swim Team in 2014 from St. Paul’s Boys School in London, UK, where he was the Master in Charge of Aquatics, restructuring their physical education lessons for swimming and water polo. Stefan designed St. Paul’s Aquatics swim team from the ground up and in the process helped the school win their first ever Independent Association of Prep School National Championship title. Stefan is an American Swim Coaches Association Level 5 International Age Group Coach and a 2015 ASCA/WSCA Fellow. During his tenure, PST’s membership grew from just under 70 swimmers to over 170 athletes and the team created new, positive and long lasting relationships with three additional pool facilities. Thanks to this expansion, PST was able to enrich their coaching staff with a Strength and Conditioning Coach, Head Age Group Coach, Head Developmental Coach and additional Assistant Coaches. PST’s volunteer Board of Directors and Coach Stefan restructured the team immensely and with that has now their first ever National level swimmers and a thriving senior and junior group that continues to grow technically, physically and mentally to become their best swimming selves.
