Safe Sport: |
|
We are pleased to share that our club has achieved USA Swimming’s Safe Sport Club Recognition (SSRP)! This recognition reflects our commitment to providing a healthy and positive environment free from abuse for all team members. In order to apply for SSRP, we were required to develop and implement club governance measures, Safe Sport policies and reporting mechanisms, Safe Sport best practices as well as training to athletes and parents. All of these measures were reviewed by USA Swimming Safe Sport staff for approval. Our SSRP status is valid for 2 years, after which time we will be eligible to renew. We are excited to have achieved this milestone and to publicly demonstrate our commitment to providing a Safe Sport environment on this team. Go PST! |
Meet Registration Pro Tip: |

You can opt in to email alerts in your FastSwim account and by doing so, never miss a meet registration again. Simply go to your settings in the top right corner, click “notifications” and click the box for “Pacific Swimming: Zone 2” to get email notifications for all Zone 2 meets. (Note: you will get emails for all meets in the Zone regardless of if PST is attending.) FastSwims does not send ancillary emails so the only messages you will get are those for meet registration opening. Additionally, you can plan your registration in advance by clicking on the “meet sheet” next to the “online entries” link on the PacSwim site in advance of registration opening to talk to your swimmer about the events they will be swimming. |

This Week’s Top Tip: |

Is your swimmer looking to supplement their dietary needs with sports drinks, pre- and post-workout shakes and other supplements? USA-Swimming recommends a food first approach and has a lot of resources available to you and your athletes on what, how, and when to eat. However, if your athlete is looking to support their performances with sports supplements, then please only purchase products that are listed on NSF International. NSF International’s global Certified for Sport® program helps athletes, dieticians, coaches and consumers make safer decisions when choosing sports supplements. The Certified for Sport® certification is the only independent third-party certification program recognized by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League and the Canadian Football League. Certified for Sport® is also recommended by the NFL, NBA, PGA, LPGA, CCES, CPSDA, iNADO, Ironman, NASCAR, Taylor Hooton Foundation and many other organizations seeking to mitigate the risks of contaminated dietary supplements. |
