This Week's Top Tip: |
Long Course Meters (LCM) season is about to begin and meets just started to open up. Due to the nature of LCM meets, meets will fill up super fast. In the past, some meets filled within 2 hours, as less people can enter due to the USA-S 4-hour time limit rule for 12&Unders. This means that you have to be ready to sign up for meets as soon as they open up on either FastSwims or SwimConnection. Mark the meets PST is attending in your calendar; keep an eye out for notification emails from FastSwims, SwimConnection and PST; and sign up your swimmer as soon as the meet opens. Families of swimmers from Blue and Bronze should speak to their coaches now, to see if they should sign up for a LCM meet and what general events they should register for. Visit our website for suggestions of times to enter. Generally swimmers are about 10 seconds slower per 50 in a LCM race versus the same race in a SCY pool. |
Next Week: |
Saturday and Sunday, 3/22-23: C/B/BB Meet (host: AAA). 103 PST swimmers have registered to compete. Saturday and Sunday, 3/22-23: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum practices are cancelled due to the AAA meet. |

Meet Registration Pro Tip: |
You can opt in to email alerts in your FastSwim account and by doing so, never miss a meet registration again. Simply go to your settings in the top right corner, click “notifications” and click the box for “Pacific Swimming: Zone 2” to get email notifications for all Zone 2 meets. (Note: you will get emails for all meets in the Zone regardless of if PST is attending.) FastSwims does not send ancillary emails so the only messages you will get are those for meet registration opening. Additionally, you can plan your registration in advance by clicking on the “meet sheet” next to the “online entries” link on the PacSwim site in advance of registration opening to talk to your swimmer about the events they will be swimming. |

It is a shared responsibility to maintain these relationships, and we need parents to follow the parking requirements for each facility.
